Indications
G-Cromo Eye & Nasal Drops is used for:
Asthma, Asthma propylaxis
Adult Dose
Adults:
Inhalation
Asthma prophylaxis As dry powd/ nebulising soln: 20 mg 4 times/day
As aerosol:10 mg 4 times/day, up to 6-8 times/day if needed, reduced to 5 mg 4 times/day once asthma has stabilised.
Additional doses may be taken before exercise.

Adverse Effects
Side effects of Sodium Cromoglycate (Cromoglicic acid) :
Nausea, headache, dizziness, unpleasant taste, joint pain and swelling, skin rashes, aggravation of asthma, pulmonary infiltrates with eosinophilia, urticaria. Bronchospasm, wheezing, cough, nasal congestion and throat irritation following inhalation of dry powder.
Mechanism of Action
Sodium Cromoglycate inhibits degranulation of mast cells and therefore suppresses the release of histamine, leukotrienes and slow-reacting substance of anaphylaxis.
