Indications
Enofiz Powder is used for:
Indigestion, Heartburn, Hyperacidity, Flatulence
Adult Dose
Effervescent Tablet
Dissolve 2 tablets in water and drink effervescent solution 4 hourly
Not to exceed 8 tablets/24-hr
Powder for Solution (Sachet)
5 gm (one 5 ml spoonful of powder) or one sachet dissolved in a glass of water. Drink as symptoms occur.
A second dose may be taken after 2-3 hours.
Maximum daily dose (MDD): 2 X relevant dosage (5 g).
Maximum duration of antacid use at MDD: 14 days.
Child Dose

Dissolve 2 tablets in water and drink effervescent solution 4 hourly

Administration
Fully dissolve tablets/sachet in 4 oz of water before drinking
Contra Indications
Persons on a restricted sodium diet e.g. those suffering from hypertension or congestive heart failure, should not use this product unless directed by a physician. Patients with impaired hepatic and renal function. Sodium Carbonate + Sodium Bicarbonate + Citric Acid is contraindicated in patients with a prior hypersensitivity reaction to Sodium Carbonate + Sodium Bicarbonate + Citric Acid or any other ingredient of the preparation.
Precautions
Sodium-restricted diet; 575 mg sodium/tablet
Phenylketonurics; contains phenylalanine 5.6 mg/tablet
Discontinue if taken maximum dosage for 2 weeks without relief
Alters gastric pH and may interfere with absorption of some concurrent medications
Pregnancy-Lactation
Pregnancy Category: C
Lactation: Unknown whether distributed in breast milk
Interactions
The acid-neutralizing capacity of the product may alter the absorption profile of pH specific drugs given concomitantly.

Citric acid: Antacid; forms sodium citrate which neutralizes stomach acid
Sodium bicarbonate: Antacid; reacts with and neutralizes hydrochloric acid in the stomach
